Galgorm Strengthens Its Wellness Leadership with a £3 Million Investment in Nature-Immersive Spa Experiences

Northern Ireland’s flagship luxury resort, Galgorm, has announced a £3 million strategic investment aimed at redefining its wellness and hospitality experience. The development includes the launch of a nature-immersive Forest Spa Garden and a comprehensive guestroom refurbishment programme, further enhancing the resort’s internationally recognised Thermal Spa Village.

This new chapter reinforces Galgorm’s long-term vision: positioning wellbeing not as an add-on, but as the core of the guest experience, deeply connected to nature, design, and a sense of place.

Wellness expands beyond walls, embracing nature as an active element of the healing experience.

A £1 million investment has brought to life the new Forest Spa Garden, located across the River Maine and nestled within Galgorm’s woodland setting. Designed as a tranquil extension of the existing spa, the space features luxury relaxation cabanas, private hot tubs, a sauna, and forest walkways, all conceived to encourage stillness, reconnection, and sensory calm.

A bespoke bridge links the Forest Spa Garden directly to the main spa, creating a seamless and immersive wellness journey that flows naturally between architecture and landscape.

An additional £2 million has been allocated to the refurbishment of six junior suites and 45 superior rooms, elevating in-room wellness to a new level. The junior suites now feature private balcony hot tubs overlooking the River Maine, allowing guests to enjoy spa-like moments within their own personal space.

The updated interiors blend contemporary luxury with Galgorm’s signature aesthetic, reinforcing the idea that rest, recovery, and wellbeing continue well beyond the spa facilities.

The spa experience extends into the room, transforming accommodation into a personal retreat.

The new Forest Spa Garden also enhances the experience for guests staying in Galgorm’s Forest Dens, eco-conscious accommodations immersed in nature. Recognised in The Irish Independent’s Fab 50 list of Ireland’s best places to stay in 2025, these units combine privacy, comfort, and environmental sensitivity.

With this expansion, Forest Den guests now enjoy direct access to Galgorm’s premium spa standards, ensuring convenience without compromising the resort’s luxury positioning.

This £3 million investment forms part of the wider growth strategy of Galgorm Collection, which has committed £40 million in development through 2027 and invested over £60 million since 2010. The group continues to play a defining role in strengthening Northern Ireland’s tourism and hospitality landscape through wellness-led, future-focused projects.

More than an expansion, Galgorm’s latest development reflects a broader industry shift: wellness as an immersive, nature-connected, and thoughtfully designed experience. As travellers increasingly seek depth, balance, and authenticity, Galgorm sets a clear benchmark for the future of luxury wellness hospitality.
