Tampa, Florida – August 12, 2025. The Wellness Tourism Association (WTA), one of the most influential organizations in global wellness tourism, proudly announces its relaunch under the leadership of Robin Ruiz, who also serves as Founder & CEO of Wellness in Travel & Tourism (WITT).

Since its founding in 2018, the WTA has shaped the industry through:

• Building a global network connecting destinations, hotels, tour operators, travel advisors, retreat leaders, media, and strategic partners.
• Publishing the first-ever Glossary of Wellness Tourism Terms, now a global reference.
• Conducting research and consumer surveys that have provided key data for industry growth.
• Developing the first Wellness Travel Specialist Course in partnership with The Travel Institute.

The WTA aims to strengthen its presence in the region, inviting Latin American destinations, companies, and professionals to join. Membership provides access to global opportunities, strategic partnerships, specialized education, and international visibility.
